At its simplest DaHRTs (Dilation and Hormone Replacement Therapy scheduler) is a reminder program that aims to help the End User keep track as to when certain 'Medically Mandated' events need to be carried out.
DaHRTs is intended for T* Women who are transition tracked - meaning that at the least they are using or planning to use HRT.
The program was originally written as a very 'Quick and Dirty' memory aid for the author. When I began using a T-Blocker I needed to take it twice a day, every day. After a few weeks it quickly became obvious to me that I could not trust my memory.
So,I began to write everything down on paper.
Of course, when I moved onto Estrogen (by Patch) which needed to be changed every 4 days things really did start to go downhill.
So ... Multiple Lists were made, Events were kept track of ... and it seemed to work.
Then came surgery. Dilating 3 times daily is pretty easy to remember. But when you get to 'Once every 3 days' ... every 4 days ... every 5 days etc its back to paper and pencil.
Hence ... DaHRTs.
I should note here that Version 1 was really 'Quick and Dirty' but it did the job perfectly. I chose to write this more generalized version of the program as a learning exercise. I'm trying - and failing! but having fun - to learn to program using MS Visual C# with Dot Net. I don't know about others, but I learn much better if I 'Do' something rather than if I 'Read' something.
If you find DaHRTs System 2 to be useful then I am genuinely pleased for you. BUT, please remember, it was written for fun, as a learning exercise.
So, if you have constructive criticism to share or suggestions you want to pass on ... feel free ... send them to
However ... if you think the program is rubbish, or, possibly, that I am a sad person for having written it, or even 'You' have no need for a program such as this ... these are all valid criticisms and I am happy to hear them ... but 'please' keep it respectful. And try to avoid questioning my parentage as you do so.
OK ?
Well ... I was gonna call it the 'Transition and HRT Scheduler' but the resulting acronym made that choice seem ... um ... unwise. So I chose 'Dilation and HRT Scheduler' (DaHRTs) instead.
'Events' is simply the term I use to describe each action. Taking a T-Blocker is 1 TB Event, Dilating is 1 Dilation Event, Checking your Blood Pressure is 1 BP Event.
Event is just a descriptive term for 1 action ... nothing more than that.
